There will be no school on Friday, December 8.
Mrs. Kelly Favre (proud BG Mom of 4 Alumni and 1 current student) spoke to BG High School students explaining the needs of teenagers being supported by CASA. She challenged our CRU to give up something that they enjoy in order to provide joy for another teen. Thank you, Mrs. Favre, for your testimony and call to action!
Donations are much appreciated!!
Come let us worship the Lord, the King who is to come. Be it known to all who enter here that Christ is the reason for Bishop Gorman Catholic School. He is the unseen but ever present Teacher in its classrooms. He is the Model of its faculty and the Inspiration of its students.
Will Vogler, Christian Norwood, Sam Vogler, Michael Watson, and Matthew Winn performed this weekend with the TMEA All-Region Orchestra at Longview High School. Earning a chair in the TMEA All-Region Orchestra is an honor. Students learn difficult music and compete against students in public and private schools all around in East Texas up through Texarkana, down through Nacogdoches. Will Vogler was also recognized for being an All-Area qualifier. Congratulations to these young men!
St. Gregory and Bishop Gorman parents, staff, and alumni are invited to join us for the Bishop Gorman Christmas Party on Wednesday, December 13, from 4-6PM!
Today is the Feast Day of Jesus’s first disciple, Saint Andrew. He brought people to Jesus (his brother Simon Peter and the boy with the loaves and fishes). As a missionary, he brought Jesus to people. What a wonderful example for our BG community! We are grateful for our beautiful campus and stout buildings where for 65 years students have known, loved, and served Jesus! Check out the attached photos from this week.
Thank you for supporting our student servant-leaders!

Thank you for attending the Winter Sports Extravaganza! Thank you Cheer teams for the pep rally. Don't forget about our Chili Cookoff happening at noon. We are also looking for continued help for the Macy Tournament: gate, concessions and food for our hospitality area.
We are grateful to all Crusader alumni veterans and current members of the military. The list of Crusader veterans can be viewed at www.bishopgorman.net/military . Please report names, graduation years, military branch, years of service, and titles of Bishop Gorman alumni who have served or are serving by completing the form at www.bishopgorman.net/alumni . Thank you for helping us!
Marc Salitore, U.S. Department of Justice, Retired U. S. Army Specialist E-4, and father of two Bishop Gorman Alumni and one current student, spoke to the CHRISTUS Trinity Mother Frances Veterans Day gathering today reminding us that "veterans subordinated themselves to something greater with consequential commitment in order to preserve and defend our Constitution. Why? For their families, for their brothers and sisters in arms, for their dreams of home, for all of us." Thank you, Veterans!
Today, our Bishop Gorman Choir students attended the CHRISTUS Trinity Mother Frances Veterans Day Program. The students sang the national anthem during the program and performed community service by handing out gift bags to the veterans.

On Tuesday, Bishop Gorman choir students got to attend the opera Pepito at the Winspear Opera House in Dallas. Following the performance they received the opportunity to meet the cast and crew, ask questions about how they got into the industry, learn about various careers in music performance, see backstage, and experience various technical elements the opera house can create. Afterward, they had a picnic lunch in the park and visited their favorite stop, Buc-ees! 🎼💚
