Congrats to Aidan Patton on advancing to the sweet 16! Aidan pinned his opponent in the round of 32, bringing 9 points to the state team. Now nationally ranked, Patton is one of the top 20 private school wrestlers in the 152lb weight class in the nation!! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Ross Harris and Carson Harris both had really strong matches to start off the day, both adding to the Texas team’s overall score. Ross had a total of 3 points and Carson had 5.

Academy of Texas Historical Productions held the 24th Annual Academy Awards today for the 7th Grade Texas History Films. Numerous awards were given for excellence in film production and acting. The winner of Best Motion Picture for this year was "The Battle of the Alamo"

After earning TAPPS All-District and All-State honors, juniors Elizabeth Mahfood and Taylor Wood have earned additional post-season awards. Mahfood was named to the TABC All-State team. Mahfood and Wood were both named All-East Texas by the Tyler Morning Telegraph. Wood was a 2nd Team selection, with Wood earning honorable mention.
Bishop Gorman Lady Crusaders basketball coach Jon Froelich has been named "Coach of the Year" for the the state private schools, as announced by the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches. It is the second time in his career he has earned state honors. The Lady Crusaders won 25 games this season, winning District, Bi-District and the Area Championship. Froelich is in his second year at Bishop Gorman.
