Congratulations to Freshman Abigail McDonald for being awarded the prestigious TMEA Texas Music Scholar award! To be eligible for this award, Abigail was selected for the TMEA and TPSMEA All-Region Choirs, performed a TPSMEA Class 1 vocal solo that was taken to State Solo and Ensemble, and exhibited outstanding qualities in scholastic merit, musicianship, and citizenship in her school and community during the 2023-2024 school year. She was nominated by her choir director Christine Martin and chosen by the Texas Music Educators Association amongst the many other applicants across the state of Texas. On Friday, BG Senior girls crowned Mary and placed roses at her feet. Principal John Kimec and Fr. Steven Chabarria recognized and blessed Mrs. Barbara Carney, whose 22nd grandchild will graduate from Bishop Gorman this month. This fall's Pilgrimage Walk was blessed as well.
