Bishop Thomas K. Gorman Catholic School in Tyler will induct nine former Crusaders (and one team) into their "Hall of Fame Class" on Friday, October 2. Bishop Gorman is honored to announce Michelle Obach will be one of the members of the inaugural class. Obach was a standout on the basketball court for the Lady Crusaders. She is the youngest of the inductees, having graduated from Bishop Gorman in 2013. She was a four-year letter winner, and finished her career as the all-time leading scorer in the history of the school, finishing with over 2,500 career points. She earned all-state three consecutive years, was a first-team All-East Texas selection, and was the East Texas "Player of the Year" her senior season. After finishing her brilliant career for the Crusaders, Obach would earn All-American honors for the Patriots at The University of Texas - Tyler. She graduated from UT-Tyler and recently completed her Law Degree at The University of Houston. Join us on October 2 to recognize Michelle Obach and all members of the Bishop Gorman 2020 Hall of Fame Class. The Hall of Fame Luncheon will be held on the 2nd at Rick's on the Square. Tickets for this event will go on sale next week. The Hall of Fame plaques will be on display in the Brodnax Family Crusader Center.

Bishop Thomas K. Gorman Catholic School in Tyler will induct nine former Crusaders (and one team) into their inaugural "Hall of Fame Class" on Friday October 2. Bishop Gorman is proud to announce Darwin Crawford will be one of the members of the inaugural class. Crawford was a four-sport letter-winner during his career at Bishop Gorman. He would graduate in 1974, and enjoyed a brilliant career for the Crusaders. He would earn all-state recognition in football and track, while also playing baseball and basketball. He played multiple positions on the football team (tight end, running back, and defensive end. In addition to all-state recognition, Crawford was also selected for numerous All-District and All-East Texas squads. He would become a state medalist in the 440, and was the district champion in the 100-yard dash. Crawford was a member of the very first baseball team at Bishop Gorman in 1972. He would earn All-District and All-State honors on the diamond. Crawford would go on to earn his Bachelors Degree and Masters Degree from Stephen F. University. He would spend a decade as the head baseball coach at SFA, winning over 250 games and having his jersey number retired in the SFA Hall of Fame. He currently resides in Michigan! Join us on October 2 to recognize Darwin Crawford and all members of the Bishop Gorman 2020 Hall of Fame Class. Activities will include the Hall of Fame Luncheon and a ceremony at the Homecoming football game that evening. The Hall of Fame plaques will be on display in the Brodnax Center on the Gorman campus.

Bishop Gorman is proud to announce nine former athletes, coaches and contributors will be inducted into the inaugural "Crusader Hall of Fame" class. In addition, one team will also be inducted in ceremonies planned for Friday, October 2. A luncheon will be held, with all members also be recognized at the Homecoming Football game that evening. Be looking for information on all recipients, as we will have a release on our Hall of Fame class daily over the next 10-14 days!

BISHOP GORMAN: Reminder: Today is our first Spirit shirt and jeans day! Students may wear a Bishop Gorman spirit shirt and jeans to school. Jeans must not have any holes or rips. Shirts must be tucked in and belts worn.

Bishop Gorman: MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS- will attend athletics tomorrow but you do not need to dress out or come early for practices. You can come to school in your spirit day attire (Gorman Shirt and Jeans) and report to your advisory classes just as we have for the past two days. All students will report to the middle school gym for attendance for the athletic block beginning at 8:10 am. On Monday, you will come dressed for athletics (with your school uniform in your PE bags)

At this time we want to remind everyone that there will be no cafeteria service until at least the first week of September. Early next week we will send more information on exactly how this will work for this school year.Please send students with a lunch for themselves for tomorrow, as well as each day next week. We will not have microwaves available at the time due to the risks involved with many people touching and using the same devices.
