2020 HS Football Schedule!
Congratulations to Class of 2020 graduate Nic Land on completing his Eagle Scout project and a big Bishop Gorman thank you to him for building it for the school. Nic's project is a unit set built to UIL and TAPPS standards that will serve students in drama at Bishop Gorman for years to come with the ability to practice on uniform sets. Thank you, Nic, for the legacy you leave not only in your resume of dramatic performances while at Gorman, but for your contribution to the future of drama at the school, too.

AUGUST SUMMER BRIDGE CLASSES NOW ENROLLING: MATH for middle school and STUDY SKILLS for high school classes will be offered Aug. 3 - 6, just in time to get students ready to go back to school. Registration forms available in the front office and online.
The start of the 2020-2021 academic year is rapidly approaching. We look forward to the students returning to campus for the first day of class on August 19. All current Crusader families will receive an email this week detailing our back to school plans!

Alumni Profile - Tyler Bate - Class of 2016.
A graduate of Bishop Gorman in 2016, Tyler Bate recently completed his undergraduate degree at Trinity University and has been accepted and started medical school this past week at The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. UTMB is part of the public academic health science center. It is the oldest medical school in Texas. Well done Tyler. We appreciate your continued dedication to serving others! Congratulations to Ricardo Pineda, the recipient of the inaugural Tony Cruz Passion, Positivity & Perseverance Award! Ricardo will receive a $500 tuition scholarship for the 2020-2021 school year.

Alumni Profile - Jarad Kent - Class of 2001.
A member of the 2001 graduating class at Bishop Gorman, and also an alumni of St. Gregory, Jarad Kent is currently a practicing attorney in Tyler and a candidate for Judge of the 114th District Court. After graduating Bishop Gorman, Jarad attended The Catholic University of America, double majoring in Philosophy and Politics. Jarad attended law school at Baylor University, where he graded on to the prestigious Baylor Law Review. Jarad has practiced civil trial law for the past 12 years, and currently serves as the managing partner for the Tyler office of Chamblee Ryan law firm. He and his wife Dr. Jennifer Kent have two daughters, Anna (6) who will be a 1st grader at St. Gregory, and Nora (1).
The progress the Lady Crusaders have made on the basketball court since the season ended is impressive. When you take into consideration the Crusaders have been out of school and limited with what they have been able to do since early March, the improvement shown points to a 2020-21 season with high expectations. Keep working hard Lady 'Cru. BE GOOD . . . BE GREAT . . . BE GORMAN.
